Prior to Atlanta, Mitch Olson lived in Los Angeles for nearly a decade where he worked in Film/TV development as well as on shows for NBC, CBS, Fox, and Netflix. He's written and sold projects for major studios and production companies.
He moved to Georgia in 2018 and founded Point South Productions, a film and TV development and production company, in 2021. PSP released its first feature film in 2024, has a second coming out early 2025, and has a number of exciting projects in development.
In addition to his work as a writer/producer, he is a professor of screen and TV writing in the Department of English at Kennesaw State University, and has developed curriculum for the Trilith Institute and the Georgia Film Academy's Dramatic Writing course. He has trained over 400 high school teachers to teach Screen and TV Writing in high schools across the state of Georgia. As of 2023, over 10,000 high school students have completed the program.
